We’ve put together this general size guide to help you find your perfect fit. You’ll also see specific sizing notes in each product description, since every item fits a little differently and our team always includes personalized recommendations.

How to Find Your True Abela Story + Co. Size

Denim Fit Guide

Once you’ve determined your true Abela denim size, always check the product description for fit notes like “true to size,” “size down,” or “size up.” Each style fits a little differently based on fabric, stretch, and design.

Sizes 0–15:
Take your typical even-numbered department store size and go down to the next odd size.
Example: If you wear a 10, your Abela denim size is a 9.
If you fluctuate between a 6 and 8, your Abela denim size is a 7.

Sizes 14W–24W:
Take your usual women’s department store size and go down one size.
Example: If you wear a 20W, your Abela size is an 18W.
If you wear a 16W, your Abela size is a 14W.

Note: 14W is designed with a curvier fit and is cut differently than a 15.

Tops & Fit Advice

If a product notes to size up or down, we always recommend following that guidance. Carina typically wears a Small (her true size), which helps her give accurate fit advice across styles.

Many of our pieces are made with soft, stretchy, buttery fabrics that allow for flexible sizing. When Carina recommends sizing down, even for plus sizes, you can feel confident doing so.

Graphic Tees

Most of our custom graphics are unisex sizing for that effortless, relaxed fit.

For a true-to-size fit, follow the size chart above.
For a relaxed fit, size up one.
For an oversized look (perfect with leggings or bike shorts), size up two.
